Greek class for 2026-2027 school year. This class will be taught by Ramona Bean through Schole Academy. Once enrolled with LGS, we will give you the information on paying through Schole. The course is $350/student for the year. We will have a live session at LGS each week, there is a "zoom from home" option as well.
 
Lower School (Ages 6-8)
The purpose of the lessons in this course is to help each student grow in their love for God and the Church cultivating a deeper understanding of living as Orthodox Christians in the world, Studying Greek trains children in the art of grammar universal to all language, as well as giving them access to the New Testament and Septuagint, Byzantine hymnography, and Patristic writings in the original tongue.
The Primer course aims to best develop skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through purposeful and age-appropriate lessons that acquaint young learners to the illustrious Greek language used as a tool to spread The Word of God.
 
Upper School-
 This introductory course is designed for students who would like to pursue the modern Greek language as it is used in the world today. 

One of the best ways to learn about a culture—its values, faith, and traditions—is by learning its language through stories, prayers, hymns, history, dialogue, poetry, music, cuisine, and more! Conversational Greek for Beginners Level A is designed to expand the student’s knowledge of Modern Greek by increasing vocabulary and honing adeptness with grammatical forms, while simultaneously instilling a intuitive appreciation of Greek culture.
